Police Uncover Arms Cache in Kabardino-Balkaria

MOSCOW, September 8 (RIA Novosti)
Police uncovered a cache with an AK-47 assault rifle, a Saiga-12 semi-automatic smoothbore and an air gun in the North Caucasian Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia’s Interior Ministry said on Saturday.
The cache was discovered 50 meters away from the federal road in the defunct plant on the roof of the guardhouse. The hideout contained two cartridges for assault rifle, one cartridge for the Makarov pistol, large quantity of ammunition and a discharge vest.
“All confiscated weapons have been sent for examination to the forensic center of Interior Ministry of Kabardino-Balkaria,” said in the statement.
