ULAN-UDE, January 24 (RIA Novosti) - A man who recently served out a prison sentence for a pedophilia conviction was beaten to death by two ex-convicts in Russia’s south-central Siberian republic of Buryatia, the Investigative Committee said on Thursday.
On January 7, a group of men in the village of Kabansk got drunk and then decided to teach the “pedophile” a lesson. They broke into his home, dragged him out into the street and beat him severely. The man later died of his injuries.
Police arrested two suspects several days later.
The men, 39 and 43, have been charged with causing grave bodily harm leading to death. They face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
