PROJECTION SHOW TO BE HELD IN MOSCOW ON MAY 9 TO COMMEMORATE VICTORY
According to them, the scenario includes a symbolic rendering of the hard way to the victory from the first day of the war to the last one.
Images of the prewar peaceful life, sacrificial fight at the front and labor in the rear in the hardest early years of the war, turning point and, finally, long-awaited victory will be displayed.
The light projection will show an integrated image of the war and the great victory by means of known photographs and wartime posters, battle diagrams, workers and Red Army rank-and-file soldiers and renowned commanders, organizers said.
The show will be crowned by a combination of the image of the 1945 salute and the actual salute commemorating the 60th anniversary of the victory - a symbolic link between the past and the present, organizers stressed.
More than 200 wartime photographs provided by RIA Novosti's photographic archive and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War were used in preparations for the show.
In addition, the museum's displays were photographed specially for the show, including the diagrams and dioramas of key battles, original letters of Soviet soldiers and wartime posters. The museum's staff consulted the show's organizers on relevant matters.
"The show will enable the viewers to share one of the greatest events in the Russian history," the organizers said.
