Oscar awarded to Waltz for Actor in Supporting Role

Christoph Waltz won Oscar in the Actor in a Supporting role category for his role in Inglourious Basterds and Mo'Nique won the golden statuette for the Actress in Supporting Role in Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire.

The other nominees in men's category were Matt Damon (Invictus), Woody Harrelson (The Messenger), Christopher Plummer (The Last Station) and Stanley Tucci (The Lovely Bones).

The other nominees in the female category were Penelope Cruz (Nine), Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air), Maggie Gyllenhaal (Crazy Heart), Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air).
