More than half of the visitors surveyed at the Shanghai World Expo-2010 thought that the Russian pavilion has the most impressive emblem, an opinion poll said on Tuesday.

The exhibition emblems are in the form of stamps that are printed like visas into special Expo passports that visitors can buy for around $4.40. There are around 130 emblems to collect.

The poll, conducted by Shanghai daily Xinwen bao, began on September 1 and ended on Tuesday. More than 1,000 visitors to the event, most of them Chinese tourists, were surveyed.

The poll found that more than 50 percent of people who visited the exhibition said the logo of the Russian exposition, which features a pigeon and flowers, was the most impressive.

The organizers of the poll said many Chinese tourists said the Russian emblem was “beautiful and very romantic.” The emblems of Barbados and Norway were also popular.

The 2010 World Expo is being held in Shanghai from May 1 to October 31, 2010. Over 200 states, corporations and international organizations are taking part and more than 48 million people have visited the event since it opened. The Russian pavilion has been attended by over 5 million people.
