
Shanghai is looking forward to the forthcoming visit by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to the World Expo 2010, the deputy head of the exhibition's executive committee said.
Medvedev will visit Shanghai on September 28 to take part in Russia Day celebrations at the World Expo.
"We, the residents of China and Shanghai, will certainly greet the distinguished guest in a perfect way," Zhou Hanmin said, adding that Medvedev's visit was of "huge importance."
More than 70 world leaders have already visited the exhibition since it kicked off on May 1, he said.
The World Expo will run in Shanghai until October 31.
