MINSK, June 10 (RIA Novosti) - The president of Belarus said Wednesday that he welcomes the recent agreements reached at a prime ministers' session of Eurasec countries, calling them a "breakthrough."

The premiers of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, meeting for a Eurasec (Eurasian Economic Community) Interstate Council and Customs Union session in Moscow on Tuesday, approved a customs deal, agreed to join the WTO as a unified customs bloc, and signed an anti-crisis fund deal.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov: "From what I've heard, agreements reached at the Moscow session represent a certain breakthrough... If this takes place, this is a good beginning not only for getting out of the crisis, but also for the future."

The single customs tariff for Eurasec members drafted by the premiers would enter force in 2010. The premiers also adopted a joint statement expressing their intention to join the World Trade Organization as a united customs territory.

They also signed an agreement on setting up an anti-crisis fund, in line with an earlier deal reached at a summit in Moscow. Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin suggested on Tuesday that Eurasec's anti-crisis fund could be used to grant Belarus a $500 million loan.

Russia has said it will contribute $7.5 billion to the fund.

Eurasec is made up of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Moldova, Ukraine and Armenia have observer status.
