Ukraine and Libya have agreed to draft and sign contracts on military-industrial cooperation, the Ukrainian government's press service said on Thursday.

KIEV, September 3 (RIA Novosti) - Ukraine and Libya have agreed to draft and sign contracts on military-industrial cooperation, the Ukrainian government's press service said on Thursday.

"All the details of these contracts have been discussed, and cooperation between Ukraine and Libya has now been given high-level political backing," Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko was quoted as saying after talks with Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Tymoshenko said "all possible spheres" of bilateral cooperation between the two countries had been discussed, including the servicing of Antonov aircraft and the establishment of a sales center all across Africa.

A Ukrainian working group is currently in Libya to finalize contracts to be signed by the directors of aircraft manufacturers and exporters involved.

The Antonov Design Bureau, based in Ukraine, manufactures and services dozens of glider and types of airplane, including one of the world's largest, the An-124 Ruslan (Condor) cargo plane.
