The death toll from the flu outbreak in Ukraine has risen to 805, a spokesman for the country's Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
At least 38 people died from complications related to the seasonal flu in the last 24 hours
The outbreak has affected over 3.8 million people in the country so far, the source said.
Over 222,000 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak started in October 2009. The country has also reported 254 patients currently in intensive care with severe flu and flu-like symptoms. A total of 2,926 people were taken to hospital in the past 24 hours.
The Ukrainian parliament has allocated 1 billion hryvnias ($125 million) for measures to fight swine and seasonal flu.
However, the spread of epidemic has been on the rise again since late December due to cold weather spells sweeping through the country.
