Massacre at US army base Fort Hood

Two Azerbaijani soldiers turned their weapons on themselves after shooting dead four officers at a military base, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Friday.

Two other soldiers were injured in the January 28 attack at the Dashkasan base in central Azerbaijan.

The Trend news agency, citing sources in the armed forces, said the soldiers had opened fire with automatic weapons.

The military is to hold an investigation into the incident on Friday.

Earlier this month, at the same base, six officers were killed in a similar incident, an Azerbaijani newspaper said on Friday.
