20,000 years ago a glacier 2km (2,000) meters covered the Ottawa area. And so to see this graphic with a 3.75km ice cover over Vostok Lake in the Antarctic is very interesting. One day this ice cover may disappear and people will be living around the lake. (not for quite some time though.)
