iPad 2 Apple’s latest dual-core A5 processor, which runs at 1.2GHz as opposed to the 1GHz of the current iPad. The company says the new processor’s graphics speed is nine times faster. The newest tablet has the same 9-hour battery life as the original iPad, Apple says. The iPad 2 is thinner than the original, with front- and rear-facing cameras. It also features a three-axis gyroscope. Apple hopes the iPad 2 staves off the threat offered by Motorola’s Xoom tablet, also equipped with a dual-core processor.
