Russia's state-run arms exporter Rosoboronexport said on Tuesday it was ready to hold talks with China on the delivery of advanced Su-35 fighter aircraft to the Chinese air force.
"We are ready to work with our Chinese partners to this end [Su-35 deliveries]," Deputy General Director of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheyev said at the Airshow China 2010, which is being held on November 16-21 in Zhuhai.
The Su-35 Flanker-E, powered by two 117S engines with thrust vectoring, combines high maneuverability and the capability to effectively engage several air targets simultaneously using both guided and unguided missiles and weapon systems.
Russia's Sukhoi aircraft maker earlier said it planned to start deliveries of the new aircraft, billed as "4++ generation using fifth-generation technology," to foreign clients in 2011 and produce Su-35s over a period of 10 years up to 2020.
China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) is the only international aerospace trade show in China that is endorsed by the Chinese central government. The biannual arms exhibition has been held in Zhuhai since 1996.

- arnoldvinette@yahoo.comIf Russia could sell 300 MiG-35 jets ideal03:13, 18/11/2010If Russian military contractors could secure 300 new MiG-35 fighter jet sales to China this would be a wonderful start.
Ideally China would need between 600 and 1,000 new MiG-35 fighters to upgrade its air force for the 21st century.
If China wants to secure additional oil resources for its future use it will have to fight for it both politically and militarily.
The years of 2015 to 2030 are going to be very difficult for China as it struggles to find enough energy in the form of oil and natural gas to meet its ever growing economy of 7% to 8% a year. After 2030 if China has not moved over to an alternative fuel to drive its economy, it is going to begin contracting at a rapid pace.
And since China is currently cash rich in US currency reserves and US bonds this would be a great use of these funds to grow the Russian economy in order to purchase more Chinese goods and products.
It is very important for China to grow Russia's economy, because between 2015 and 2030 United States demand for Chinese products will be steadily decreasing, while the Russian economy will be steadily growing due to its energy reserves of oil and natural gas.
By 2030 Chinese exports to the United States will drop by around 70% to 80% from current levels due to the collapse of the energy oil markets and worldwide banking industry.
China needs to develop Russia as a new market for its goods, products and services.
