MOSCOW, August 10 (R-Sport) - Jamaican sprinting sensation Usain Bolt qualified for the men's 100m semifinals at the world athletics championships in Moscow on Saturday, blazing ahead of the seventh and final heat.

Bolt, the world's fastest man and reigning Olympic gold medalist in the 100m, is heavily favored to win in Moscow after high-profile doping suspensions eliminated countryman Asafa Powell and American Tyson Gay. An injured Yohan Blake, who won gold in Daegu two years ago after a false start disqualified Bolt in the final, is skipping the Moscow competition.

Bolt appeared to let up at the end - as he has been known to do - but finished with a first-round time of 10.07 seconds. South Africa's Anaso Jobodwana finished second at 10.17 seconds and Ramon Gittens of the Barbados was third at 10.19 seconds.

"I'm feeling good," Bolt said. "I just have to go out there and run now. It's pretty exciting now, I've been waiting for the start to come, so I'm just happy to go out there and get it done, really."

Kemar Hyman of the Cayman Islands was disqualified with a false start.

There are seven first-round heats at Luzhniki stadium Saturday night. The top three from each heat advance to the semifinals on Sunday. The next three fastest times overall also advance.
