The tour is devoted to the 60th anniversary of victory in WWII, the mainline's public relations department told RIA Novosti. This is the second such train. The first one began his way on April 6.
This is a five-car train that is carrying WWII and labor veterans, song and dance groups of the Far Eastern Military District, a chorus of veterans entitled Russians, and Railroad Culture Palace dance groups.
They will hold meetings and concerts at the railroad stations along the route.
Meanwhile, the first Victory train is continuing traveling, making stops at the stations of the Komsomolsk section of the Far East Mainline and the Vostochny section of the Baikal-Amur Mainline.
Amateur talent groups are giving concerts for war and labor veterans, and local residents. Railroad officials are presenting valuable presents to the veterans at the gala meetings at the stations.
There is a medical car in the train where veterans are examined and provided medical aid if need be.
