Final phase of Peace Mission-2007 exercise

A counter-terrorism exercise sponsored by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and coded-named “Peace Mission-2007” was held at a training ground near Chebarkul, the Chelyabinsk Region, Russia. The active phase of the exercise that began in the Chinese city of Urumqi on August 9 ended on August 17.
