The Russian Constitutional Court prolonged a moratorium on the death penalty, which is due to expire on January 1, before it is most likely banned completely. The decision was announced on Thursday. During the moratorium, the hardest punishment will be a life sentence. RIA Novosti presents Prison Number 5 in the Vologda region, one of five colonies for prisoners sentenced to life.  </p>
