The U.S. First Lady spoke with journalists on Wednesday about this year’s gingerbread White House, as well as Christmas decorations and charity projects. The White House decided to share New Year decorations left over from previous administrations with 60 community groups across the country. We “asked them to use these decorations for decorating their favorite local landmarks and then send them back to us for display here at the White House,” said Michelle Obama.
