The European figure skating championships will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, from January 18 to 24. The Trainers’ Council and the Presidium of the Russian Figure Skating Federation met in St. Petersburg after the national championships to select members of the Russian team. All medalists from the Russian national championships were selected for the team, including Yevgeny Plyushchenko, Ksenia Makarova, Yuko Kawaguchi and Alexander Smirnov, and Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin.
