Cyril and Methodius, traditionally held in the Kremlin’s Assumption Cathedral but held in the Christ the Savior Cathedral this year, thousands of people carried icons and holy banners to Slavic Square, where the monument to the brothers who created the Slavic alphabet stands. This year’s ceremony highlighted the social aspects of the event.
