The site WikiLeaks acquired infamy after releasing hundreds of thousands of confidential documents belonging to the U.S. government. The first batch of these documents dealt with U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. This was followed by diplomatic dispatches featuring overt and often unflattering opinions on foreign leaders and their policies. Many experts believe that these publications have seriously tarnished Washington’s reputation in international affairs.
