I would like to recognize your birthday in an unusual and special way that I am sure will put a smile on not only your face but also that of your husband Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
Over the past three years I have been supporting and sponsoring art programs at Russian public schools K-12.
One of the Russian cities I love to sponsor art programs in is Volgodonsk, Russia.
From January to May 2010 I sponsored an art program in Volgodonsk to assist with the purchase of art supplies, paper and art teacher bonuses.
In return the Volgodonsk kids drew, colored and painted for me slightly over 2,500 pieces of artwork on three themes:
1. What did the kids love about their community?
2. What did the kids love about their city of Volgodonsk?
3. What did the kids love about their country of Russia?
In June 2010 I flew over to Russia to pick up this artwork and visit the schools and kids who had created it. It was an amazing adventure to Russia as I arrived on Children's Day June 1. There were celebrations all over the city as Volgodonsk celebrated Children's Day.
After I arrived back to the United States, I quickly went to work scanning the new Volgodonsk kids artwork for a series of “Volgodonsk Kids Art Album eBooks” to promote the Russian city of Volgodonsk and the country of Russia for tourism.
Fate then intervened I had to travel back to Ottawa, Canada to help get an art program started in Canada putting the “Volgodonsk Kids Art Album eBooks” on hold for a few months.
The art program in Canada has now been launched with the help of the kids from Volgodonsk, Russia.
The project proved to be so successful that simultaneous art programs have now been launched in the United States and Europe.
The Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper was so impressed with the artwork created by the kids from Volgodonsk, Russia that he has announced a sweeping economic stimulus program across the entire country of Canada for art programs. Toronto Star, Page A6, Friday March 18, 2011
The most famous and beloved art teacher in Russia is Elena Trekina who lives in Volgodonsk and has taught art to kids for close to 30 years. She is the mastermind behind the artwork that has motivated the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Canadian government to try and create similar art programs across Canada.
So it is with great pride for Russian First Lady Svetlana Medvedeva on her birthday, for her husband Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, and the Russian people that these art programs are revealed honoring Russian student creativity, Russian art programs, the country of Russia, and tourism to Russia. Without the art programs in Russian public schools these Facebook pages could not exist.
A Russian Kids Artwork Facebook page is coming in the near future.
If Russian First Lady Svetlana Medvedeva would love to be a part of this magic, working with Russian public schools and students on creating more Russian themed artwork to promote Russia across the world in a positive and beneficial way, I now require thousands of pieces of Russian student artwork on these five themes.
1) What do the kids love about the Sochi 2014 Olympics?
2) What do the kids love about the FIFA World Cup?
3) What do the kids love about their Russian community?
4) What do the kids love about their Russian city?
5) What do the kids love about their country of Russia?
Russian First Lady Svetlana Medvedeva, on your birthday of March 15, 2011, I would like you to take great pride in the fact that your Russian students are working wonders for their country of Russia to promote and encourage art programs all over the world and promote goodwill towards Russia.
The most special present that I can give you for your birthday is precious, priceless artwork from the children who love their community, love their city of Volgodonsk, and love their country of Russia.
Enjoy it, download it, copy it and share it with your friends and family. It is 100% Russian culture.
Yes, as a tribute to the children of Russia and the world by Mme. Medvedva, such an art project would be terrific! Thanks Arnold - as a fellow Canadian, I am proud of your role in this very worthwhile project.
