Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO), the operator of Japan’s troubled Fukushima 1 nuclear power plant, said Friday that a protective reinforced concrete enclosure may be built around the plant. Right now, the priority is to continue with efforts to cool down the reactors, a TEPCO spokesperson said.
