Russian Knights mark 20th anniversary with aerobatic stunts

An air show dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Russkiye Vityazi (Russian Knights) aerobatic team was held at the Kubinka Air Base near Moscow. The show culminated in a spectacular stunt involving four Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker fighters which flew in formation and subsequently scattered in four directions. The warplanes soared up into the sky, reached an altitude of 1,800 meters, stalled and hovered for a split second.

While executing the Wedge, the warplane formation rolls as a single unit along a longitudinal axis.
