St. John's Convent in Moscow10:14 28/01/2012 St. John's Convent, one of the oldest Moscow convents, was moved to its present location in the mid-16th century. Almost entirely destroyed by the 1812 fire, the convent was rebuilt in the neo-renaissance style in 1860-1879. During the Soviet era, it was used for non-religious purposes. From 1992, it was reopened as a convent, although some of its buildings are still being used by the Ministry of the Interior’s police school.>>
