The results of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest were announced on the night of May 26-27. Sweden’s singer Loreen won the competition, scoring 372 points. Russia’s folk group Buranovskiye Babushki (Buranovo Grannies) came second while the third place went to Serbian singer Zeljko Joksimovic.

“This sounds funny but I’m in euphoria and I’m really happy. I’m bringing home from Azerbaijan good memories and thoughts about all hospitable people I met here,” Loreen said at a press conference after the contest win (photo: in the center).
The Swedish singer won the highest possible score of 12 points from 18 countries. Loreen with her song Euphoria was slightly short of the record set by Norwegian singer Alexander Rybak at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow with 387 points.
The tenth place went to Spanish singer Pastora Soler who scored 97 points.
