Russian diplomats will monitor the US presidential elections, Russian foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Friday.
“On November 6 we intend to send diplomats from the Russian Embassy in Washington and employees of consulates general in New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Houston to monitor the polls. They will be joined by a Russian Public Chamber delegation led by [Konstantin] Dolgov, the Foreign Ministry's Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law,” Lukashevich said.
He said that a dozen Russian lawmakers will be included in a 100-strong group of observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
