Bulava missile flight tests to be over in 2006 - Navy commander
ANAPA, July 6 (RIA Novosti) - Flight tests of the Bulava missile system will be completed in 2006, Russian Navy Commander Vladimir Kuroyedov said Wednesday.
"This year, the system's tests will be continued, and final flight tests for them are planned for next year," Kuroyedov told journalists after exercises on a cape in the Black Sea. He added that the flight tests were being carried out according to schedule and financed in full.
The Bulava sea-launched strategic missile system may carry 10 or more separately targeting nuclear warheads. According to available data, the missile has a range of at least 8,000 kilometers. The Bulava can be used both in the Navy and the Strategic Missile Force.
