Rescuers to work round the clock to save distressed deep-sea vessel

MOSCOW, August 5 (RIA Novosti) - Rescuers will work round the clock to save the distressed deep-sea submersible in the Berezovaya Bay, a senior Russian naval officer said Friday.

"Weather conditions are conducive to that. The sea in the rescue work area is relatively calm; the wind speed is 7-12 meters per second, the air temperature is 14-16 degrees Centigrade; and the water temperature is 9-11 degrees Centigrade," Igor Dygalo, assistant to the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, said.

The temperature inside the deep-sea submersible (bathyscaphe) is positive, but there is no precise information.
