KAZAN, August 27 (RIA Novosti) - Kazakh presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States will be considered before the regular CIS summit, scheduled for 2006 in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, a source in the Russian delegation told journalists Saturday.
The source said the date would be coordinated later but added the summit was likely to take place after presidential elections in Belarus, due not later than July 19, 2006. Russia would preside over the CIS until a new president is elected, the source said.
