MOSCOW, September 16 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow supports the idea of establishing an international partnership to combat the bird and pandemic flu, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday.
"Given the extent of the disease and its specific features, it is our opinion that effective and coordinated measures of the world community are needed to combat the infection," the ministry said.
The program of international partnership to fight the bird flu is being developed in accordance with UN resolution ¹ 59/27 adopted in 2004.
