900 kilos of marijuana seized in Urals

YEKATERINBURG, November 7 (RIA Novosti) - A large batch of marijuana weighing 885kg (about 2,000 lbs) was confiscated in the Kurgansk region, the Urals, last Friday, the local office of the federal drug service said Monday.

The marijuana was found hidden in a special container in a van and was listed as onions on the documents, the service said.

The two people transporting the cargo were detained.
