YEKATERINBURG, November 14 (RIA Novosti) - One man was killed and two injured in an explosion that shook an industrial enterprise in the Chelyabinsk Region in the Urals Monday, the Emergency Situations Ministry's local office said.
"The accident occurred at the Signal-Polimer factory based in the town of Yemanzhelinsk at about 10:40 a.m. local time [5:40 a.m. GMT]," the department said. "The explosion went off where filling agents for fireworks are made. It destroyed the building structures."
A wall caved in, killing a 50-year-old worker. Two more were hospitalized after receiving numerous injuries.
Prosecutors and rescuers from the Emergency Situations Ministry are currently on the scene trying to determine the cause of the explosion.
