MOSCOW, November 15 (RIA Novosti) - The Supreme Court of Russia upheld a decision Tuesday to outlaw the National Bolshevik Party, despite the party's appeal against the ban.

In June, a Moscow district court banned the organization on the grounds that it had violated the law on political parties by calling itself a "party" without having official registration. The Supreme Court's appeals unit overturned the ruling in August. But the Prosecutor General challenged this decision with the Supreme Court Presidium and a panel of Supreme Court justices then ordered a retrial.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday's court session, National Bolshevik Party leader Eduard Limonov called the Prosecutor General's actions an attempt at "political pressure."

Limonov said the party had already submitted its papers for official registration three times, and had each time been denied registration for "trifling reasons," used as pretexts.

However, the neo-Bolsheviks have applied for registration for a fourth time.
