MOSCOW, November 25 (RIA Novosti) - The capitalization of Russian energy giant Gazprom should be at least $600 billion, the chairman of the Russian gas association said Friday.
"Gazprom's capitalization today is $130 billion. Expert and my estimates suggest that the figure should be $600 billion, minimum," said Valery Yazev, who is also the chairman of the energy committee of the lower house of parliament, the State Duma.
Addressing the State Duma, which approved the removal of a 'ring fence' around the company's shares Friday, Yazev said the liberalization of trade in Gazprom's shares would increase the company's capitalization.
Yazev said the company's capitalization would also affect trading floors around the world.
