MOSCOW, November 30 (RIA Novosti) - Federal budget losses from oil revenue shortfalls in 2004 totaled $2 bln, the head of the Federal Tax Service said Tuesday.
"The federal budget lost $2 bln from oil company tax revenues," Anatoly Serdyukov said speaking at an enlarged session at the Federal Tax Service.
According to Serdyukov, the losses occurred because "Russian oil companies are owned by offshore residents."
He said the Federal Tax Service intended to review all dual taxation agreements to make sure that they conformed to current legislation protecting the state's economic interests.
