MOSCOW, December 8 (RIA Novosti) - Vnukovo International Airport located in Moscow's southwest district did not allow 26 planes to land but redirected them to other airports due to heavy fog, a Moscow air traffic control spokesman said Thursday.
The spokesman said the current visibility range in the airport's vicinity was 150 meters (490 feet), whereas the necessary visibility range was more than 1,000 meters (3,280 feet).
Airplanes bound for Vnukovo are being redirected to other Moscow airports, where the visibility range is normal.
