ST. PETERSBURG, December 16 (RIA Novosti)-One worker has died from his injuries after an explosion in a smelter near the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant, prosecutors in the town of Sosnovy Bor said Friday.
The Emergency Situations Ministry said that two other works remained in hospital after the explosion at the smelter, which happened early Thursday morning, had 90% burns.
Earlier, Rosenergoatom, the nuclear industry's management body, said the radiation levels in the area remained normal.
