MOSCOW, January 17 (RIA Novosti) - President of Cyprus Tassos Papadopoulos will arrive in Moscow on an official visit January 20 and leave January 24, Cyprus' ambassador to Russia said Tuesday.

Leonidas Pantelides said the president was expected to discuss various aspects of bilateral cooperation and international issues in Moscow.

Papadopoulos will arrive with a delegation of Cypriot business people to meet with head of the Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce Yevgeny Primakov. Papadopoulos will also meet with an official from the lower house of parliament, State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov. He is also expected to meet with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II on January 21-22, the ambassador said.

The ambassador said Russia and Cyprus were cooperating on economic, cultural and other issues and had much to discuss.

Pantelides said the Cypriot customs house had recently seized 87 icons smuggled out of Russia, which served as a good example of the cooperation between the customs bodies of the two countries.
