NAZRAN, January 20 (RIA Novosti) - A group of unidentified attackers killed two people and wounded two more in a village in the North Caucasus Republic of Ingushetia Friday, the Ingush Interior Ministry said.

The wounded man and woman were hospitalized.

The attackers managed to escape, the ministry said, adding that all vehicles in the area were being checked to detain them, and that visa controls had been reinforced.

The ministry characterized the attack as "another attempt to destabilize the situation in the republic."
