* German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Russia was an equal partner at the NATO-Russia Council and highlighted Russia's important role in resolving the tension surrounding Iran's nuclear program
* Jawad Vaeidi, a senior Iranian security official, said Tehran would immediately begin uranium enrichment activities after the IAEA Board of Governors' decision
* Grigory Berdennikov, the Russian envoy to international organizations in Vienna, said the IAEA Board of Governors' resolution would give the UN a clearer and fuller picture of the nuclear watchdog's work in this sphere
* The Russian Economic Development and Trade Ministry said minister German Gref was set to visit India, to sign a protocol formalizing the completion of bilateral talks on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization
* Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili said there were no political obstacles to the country's accession to NATO
