Power consumption in Moscow hits 15,900 MW - UES

MOSCOW, February 6 (RIA Novosti) - The peak load on the Moscow power system hit 15,900MW Monday night as another deep freeze engulfed the Russian capital, said a spokesman for Russian electricity monopoly Unified Energy System.

Margarita Nagoga said restrictions in power supplies in Moscow and the Moscow Region were set at more than 300MW and could hit 500MW Tuesday.
