TURIN, February 26 (RIA Novosti) -- The Russian ice hockey team lost the match for the bronze to the Czech team 0-3 at the Winter Olympics in Turin Saturday night.
The Russian team, considered a favorite after beating Canada 2-0 in quarterfinals, said goodbye to gold-medal hopes after loosing the semifinals to Finland 0-4. The Czechs had been knocked out by Sweden 7-3.
Sweden will face Finland for the gold Sunday, the final day of Olympic competition.
