ST. PETERSBURG, March 3 (RIA Novosti) - Top snowboarders from 15 countries will gather in St. Petersburg for the third round of the sport's world cup starting Friday.
The snowboarders will compete in two disciplines: parallel slalom and big air. The slalom event will take place at Tuutari Park just outside St. Petersburg, with the big air event following a day later using a specially constructed ramp at the city's Kirov Stadium.
Fringe events around the snowboarding include a freestyle motocross display, open-air concert, and laser show following the medals ceremony.
