"We confirm that we are ready to resolve these issues ... without allowing illegal migration, violations of law and order, etc."

NEW DELHI, March 17 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is ready to ease visa regulations for Indian businessmen and to sign an agreement on readmission, the Russian prime minister said Friday.

"We confirm that we are ready to resolve these issues ... without allowing illegal migration, violations of law and order, etc.," Mikhail Fradkov said after talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. "Therefore, we should consider an agreement on readmission in the package."

Fradkov said some Indian businessmen complained of too much visa red tape and harsh passport control, and promised to look into the matter.

Fradkov also said Russia could use help with construction of the Iran-Pakistan-India natural gas pipeline, adding that Moscow and New Delhi had a good cooperation record in the sphere.

"If there are any proposals, we will consider them," he said.
