MOSCOW, March 20 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow prosecutors detained Monday a construction firm official in connection with yesterday's accident in the Moscow subway.

Radislav Ryba, general director of the Polyus M company, is set to be questioned by authorities in the ongoing criminal investigation.

A concrete section of a subway tunnel fell on a moving train on the Zamoskvoretskaya line (green line) about four miles north of the city center Sunday, when Polyus workers were erecting an advertising billboard above ground, a job for which the company was allegedly not fully authorized.

A spokesman for the Prosecutor General's Office said: "According to preliminary information, the tunnel collapsed due to construction work to post an advertising billboard outside. The work was conducted by a firm that did not have any of the documents for this."

The Zamoskvoretskaya line was temporarily closed following the accident, which occurred between the Sokol and Voykovskaya stations, but resumed normal operations Monday morning.

An Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman said no passengers had been injured, although several had requested psychological help. All passengers were evacuated after a fire broke out following the impact.

The Moscow metro, the world's most heavily traveled subway, consists of 12 lines and 171 stations, some of which date back to the 1930s.
