ST. PETERSBURG, April 4 (RIA Novosti) - University students from the G8 countries will gather in Russia's second city Tuesday to discuss the agenda of the real G8 summit set to take place in the city in July.

The delegates, eight from each of the eight nations, will spend a week in St. Petersburg discussing global development strategies, disarmament, energy security and extremism, among other issues, before adopting a final declaration on April 9.

A copy of the declaration will be given to each of the G8 leaders.

The G8 youth forum has been organized by the University of St. Petersburg in association with the city's government and legislative assembly, as well as the federal legislature.

The Group of Eight leading industrialized nations, of which Russia currently holds the rotating presidency, will hold its summit in St. Petersburg in July 15-17.
