Arms cache found in Chechnya

GROZNY, April 16 (RIA Novosti) - Police found an arms cache in the troubled Republic of Chechnya in Russia's North Caucasus, the local interior ministry said Sunday.

The police found the cache during a search operation in a forest in the Nozhai-Yurt district in southeastern Chechnya. The cache contained a large amount of explosives, and also a round for a grenade launcher and 225 7.62mm cartridges, the local interior ministry said.

Measures have been launched to find the cache's owners.
