MOSCOW, April 19 (RIA Novosti) - A Moscow court Wednesday handed down a seven-year prison term to Yukos lawyer Svetlana Bakhmina.
Bakhmina, the deputy head of Yukos-Moscow's legal department, will serve her sentence in a high-security penal colony.
Bakhmina's lawyers said they would appeal the ruling.
"We will of course file an appeal with Moscow City Court after we have read the ruling," Olga Kozyreva said.
Earlier Wednesday, Bakhmina was found guilty of tax evasion and of embezzling money from regional oil company Tomskneft.
