MOSCOW, April 30 (RIA Novosti) - President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated the Khrunichev state research and production space center with the 90th anniversary of its establishment, the presidential press office said Sunday.

"Over these years, the enterprise has grown into one of the world's largest aerospace corporations with leading positions among the producers of both serial and unique aircraft, rocket and space vehicles. This is the merit of several generations of researchers, designers and engineers who have linked their life with the famed Khrunichev center," the congratulatory letter says.

Putin expressed confidence that "the remarkable labor deeds, the work collective's professionalism and the center's rich research and production potential will contribute to the production of competitive products, the build-up of the country's industrial and defense potential and the expansion of international cooperation in high-tech areas."
